Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to play, deposit and cash out on PokemonFM. For deeper crypto guides head to /crypto.
What is PokemonFM?
+
PokemonFM is a modern marketplace for Pokémon TCG collectors. You can browse cards with live market prices, open digital booster packs with provably-fair odds, buy singles with USDT, and cash out instantly to your crypto wallet.
How do I get started?
+
Sign up with email, buy a Starter Pack to receive your first cards, and you'll automatically get free spins on the Deals page. You can also deposit crypto and start opening packs straight away.
What payment methods do you accept?
+
We accept USDT and USDC on Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, and Tron, plus native SOL, ETH, BNB and MATIC. For card or bank-transfer payments, we link you to regulated on-ramps like MoonPay, Mercuryo, Transak, Swapped and Ramp.
What is a crypto wallet and do I need one?
+
A wallet is a free app (Phantom, MetaMask, Trust) that holds your funds on the blockchain. You need one to deposit and withdraw. We have a full beginner guide at /crypto/wallets covering setup, seed phrase safety, and which wallet to pick.
How do I buy USDT or USDC?
+
Use a regulated on-ramp: MoonPay, Mercuryo, Transak, Swapped or Ramp. You pay by card, Apple Pay, or SEPA bank transfer; the stablecoin lands in your wallet in under 10 minutes. See /crypto/buy for the full step-by-step.
Which network should I deposit on?
+
Solana is our default — confirmations in about 2 seconds and fees under a cent. Tron (TRC-20) is the cheapest for Binance users. Avoid Ethereum mainnet unless you already hold ETH there: gas is $3–$20 per transaction.
Are SOL gas fees really that low?
+
Yes. A typical Solana transaction costs around $0.0005 — essentially free compared to Ethereum's $3–$20. That is why Solana is the default network we recommend for deposits, withdrawals and on-ramp payouts.
What does "self-custody" mean?
+
Self-custody means you hold your own private keys — nobody (not us, not an exchange) can freeze, seize or lose your funds for you. Phantom, MetaMask, Trust and Rabby are all self-custody wallets. Binance and Coinbase accounts are custodial — the exchange holds your keys on your behalf.
How fast are withdrawals?
+
Withdrawals are auto-approved and broadcast to the network. Solana, Tron, Polygon, Base and BNB usually land in under 60 seconds. Ethereum can take 1–2 minutes depending on gas.
Are pack openings provably fair?
+
Yes. Every pack opening, draw and deal spin uses a server seed + client seed + nonce. Once the result is settled we reveal the server seed so anyone can re-derive the outcome. Open the Verify dialog on any result to audit it in your browser.
Can I cash out cards I pull?
+
Yes. Every card has a live market value in USDT. You can keep it in your collection, swap it for instant USDT, or request physical shipping for eligible high-value pulls.
Is PokemonFM safe?
+
We never ask for your wallet seed phrase. Deposits and withdrawals run on transparent on-chain rails you can audit yourself, and all game outcomes are provably fair. Use a strong unique password and enable email OTP on your account for extra protection.
